The village has shops, picnic area, a taxi office and an eighteen hole golf course. Dunoon is on Cowal Peninsula, a friendly small town which boasts a large swimming pool, with flume and gym. There is a cinema and local theatre showing several popular acts, concerts etc. It is centrally located, being a short ferry ride and a forty minute drive from Glasgow. Though we are on the peninsula, driving around only adds an hour to your journey and takes you through some breathtaking scenery of hills, lochs and glens.
